2009 Parade Highlights

The Catonsville 4th of July Committee has been working all year long to bring you the best parade ever!  The theme of the 2009 parade is Celebrating Baltimore County’s 350th Anniversary.  Here are some of the highlights for the 2009 Parade:

Baltimore County Executive Jim Smith
is leading the effort to celebrate Baltimore County’s 350th Birthday and will be participating in the  63rd Annual Catonsville Parade.  Jim will be celebrating the holiday on a special float that recognizes Baltimore County’s birthday.

Lone Ranger

From out of the past come the thundering hoof beats of the great horse Silver.  The Lone Ranger rides again! With the help of this Lone Ranger look-alike personality, the spirit and legend of The Lone Ranger and his white horse, Silver, are still remembered.  To learn more about this parade entry, go to www.lonerangerfanclub.com/jr.html

One of the marching bands in the 2009 parade will be the Reading Bucanners.

The Reading Bucanners are the four-time defending Drum Corps Associates world champions.  In 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008, the Buccaneers completed each season undefeated en route to the title.
