Every year, Opie’s Snowball Stand in the 1600 block of Edmondson at Dutton Ave, holds a fundraiser for the July 4th Committee. On Sunday June 23, 2013*, a portion of the day’s proceeds will be donated to the parade and fireworks fund. Additionally, the young employees at Opie’s are donating their tips. Customers will also have an opportunity to purchase July 4th shirts. Opie’s will be open that day from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
